It's a very rare occasion when I can have one on one time with my oldest, Bryce. Older kids tend to have busier schedules, more homework and longer days than their younger siblings.....in this case, Paige.
Paige was invited to a play date at her teacher's house, staying until well after dinner. Bryce LOVES his 'mommy time' without his "Annoying sister" around.......will he EVER think his little sister is not annoying?....I don't know.
To make the afternoon EXTRA special on this scorching, hot day, we headed straight for the ice cream shoppe. Bryce selected one of his favorites, Rainbow Sherbet and I splurged with Pistachio Almond.....OH SO GOOD!
After ice cream, another favorite stop for Bryce and I....the library. He was just itching to get his hands on his favorite, Diary of a Wimpy Kid book....two of them and a Star Wars book as well.
This 'Thankful Thursday', completely grateful for a very rare one on one date with my boy.

your children sound like my grandchildren. when I asks my grandson to come spend the night, he always asks without Becky (sister)?

Hi there! Long time no see. Hope all is well. We have five kids (now grown) and it took some creative scheduling to give each of them some quality one-on-one time.
That sounds like a really fun day for you guys! The boy I take care of part-time loves those same books.
