My 1st World Ag Expo ~ What happens at a Farm Show

A few weeks ago when I first mentioned to Dominic that I was interested in attending the World Ag Expo in Tulare, which is located in the central valley of CA, his response was,

"Why do you want to go to that?  It's just farm equipment."

I told him I wanted to experience what is claimed to be one of the largest ag expositions world wide.  It's only a 4 1/2 hour drive, why not?  So, my friend, Kellie and I headed down at 4 am yesterday morning.

Here are a few of the sites that we checked out spanning the 2.6 million square feet of show grounds.....

You know how I love tractors, well some of the largest tractors I've ever seen were displayed at the expo.  Kellie is around 5'9", which shows you just how tall these things are.

We also got to hang out with Kellie's dad, Don, who drove down from Fresno. Don bought us the best rib eye sandwich I have ever tasted.

Tons of juicy flavor all wrapped up on a soft bun.  This sandwich had just the right amount of protein to give me enough energy to get through the rest of the afternoon and evening.

Kellie scored a ticket to the Blake Shelton concert happening later in the evening from Dave Daniels of the KJUG radio morning show......she asked and he just gave her one!

Later in the afternoon, I met up with some blogger, Twitter friends; Karri Hammerstrom, Ray Prock, Katie Pinke, Barbara Martin, Jamie Johansson and Emily Mohn.

Later in the evening, we again met up with my friend, Katie from North Dakota to see Blake Shelton.  Katie and Cheryl had some great tickets for us....5th row center.....thank you girls! 

We spent the next two hours dancing with Blake.

And towards the end of the concert, Blake's fiance, Miranda Lambert came out to sing a song with him!  Great way to end the night.
