Farm Photo Friday ~ From High in the Sky

Have you ever wondered what your house, ranch, farm or homestead looks like from above?  Well, many years ago a pilot took an aerial shot of our ranch and the photo is framed and hangs on our wall.

A  few new barns and a new house later, we now have an updated areal shot of the ranch...this time our house is in it.
For Farm Photo Friday, here it is to share with you.  You can see our house that sits up the little hill in the upper left corner area of the photo.  Across the road, you can see a portion of Stafford Lake.

Andy, a pilot/photographer, stopped by the ranch a few weeks ago and introduced himself to Dominic and my father-in-law and told them he would be flying over the ranch in the days to come and wondered if we were interested in buying some aerial shots of the ranch.

This opportunity doesn't come around very often so of course we said yes.

Andy doesn't have a website but his contact information from his business card, "Have Camera Will Travel" includes his phone number and email address. So if you're from California, and want a shot from above of your place, you may want to contact Andy by email.... acepilot28 {at} yahoo {dot} com.

How nice to have personalized photos. I've only seen my home from Google Earth! Your farm is just lovely.

Thank you for your kind comments about my blog. Have a wonderful weekend!

We have three of these pics, one from the late 60's, one from the 80's and one from around 2002. It's very neat to see the progress take place and watch the farm grow. My husband has lived here in this house every day of his life. Not many people can say that!

Oh fun!!! I love looking at aerial photos of our farm, espically since I didn't grow up around here.

We have an aerial shot of our farm too. Have you published the shot on your blog? If so I am not getting it.

I think every farm in IN has an aerial shot of their farm. Ours isn't as nice as yours, we just have a satellite view - like what you'd see on Google Earth. We use it to mark off pastures and to know where which guy is during hunting season.

i did some photoshop training at a similar business many years ago, showing them how to green up the grass and remove that old buick sitting behind the barn...not that you have a buick behind your barn. ;o)

What a great picture! I had someone try and sell me one once, but all you could see was the tops of the trees. I'd love to have a good ariel picture.

My husbands family in Wisconsin have had this done, and it's such a treasure! We just got an ad from someone doing it here, and I may have to take them up on it!

I hope you're having a good weekend--That dessert you posted today looked really delicious!!!!
