It's Valentine's Day. You can't have a Valentine's Day without some sort of chocolate, right? Here's an easy recipe for some simply smooth, velevety chocolate sauce for your ice cream, pound cake, bacon, pretzels, strawberries.......OR whatever else your heart may desire to dip into chocolate.
What goes perfectly with chocolate? A full bodied red wine of course. This chocolate sauce recipe is courtesy of Hamel Family Wines.

Duncan Family Chocolate Sauce
2oz best quality unsweetened chocolate
¾ cup water
1 ½ cup sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon butter
Dash of salt
Heat water to a simmer. Add chocolate and stir until melted. Remove from heat and add sugar, corn syrup and salt. Return to low heat, stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter, stirring until fully incorporated.
