Farmers on Vacation ~ The Final Day

On our last day of vacation we decided to take a 'Scheels Field Trip' which is located in Sparks, NV, a 40 minute drive from the cabin. My kids had no idea what was in store for them! Scheels is a 295,000 square foot, sportsman's shopping HEAVEN. It holds the world's largest selection of sports, sportswear, & footwear under one roof. The gun and hunting sections have the largest retail selection of guns in the state of Nevada. Special attractions include an electric trolley that runs through the parking lot providing door to door rides for customers, two 16,000 gallon aquariums, a 35 foot tall, 800 square foot Wildlife Mountain; a 65-foot, 16-car operating Ferris Wheel; a nostalgic shooting gallery, a Laser Shot hunting simulator, and a 5 sport simulator with sports including basketball, soccer, hockey, baseball and football, where customers can test their skills. Even a little bit of history....The Walk of Presidents. Our drive up....

We've arrived..... Some of the attractions......

What a rack!...... Chatting with Thomas Jefferson.... We had to make a stop at Gramma Ginna's Restaurant and Fudge Shop inside, where they serve Starbucks coffee as well as ice cream, gelato, a lunch menu and much more....I was happy to see Starbucks. YUM! Gelato.... The salt water tank.... Fresh water tank..... A diver cleaning one of the tanks.... On the way back to the cabin, we made a stop in downtown Reno..... A great way to end our vacation.

Happy Sunday!
