The White Elephant Christmas Party

Last night we had a little Christmas get together at our house with some good friends. Lots of food, good company, some cocktails, wine and fun and games, which all equals to good times and Christmas cheer.

The signature cocktail I decided to serve was an easy one.....Blood Red Orange soda with vodka on the rocks.  Then we broke open the wine.  We had {in no particular order} Dutton Estates, Rosenblum, Hanna, Arrowwood and Joel Gott.

My intentions were to take photos of the food, but I got a little side tracked so here's the run down: we had tri-tip, rigatoni, Brussels sprouts {my favorite}, a green salad and some garlic crusty bread.

Bryce took over the photo taking at some point in the evening.......

I somehow managed to remember to take a photo of the Christmas Yule Log, Wendy and Eric brought.  SO good!  She picked it up at Cocola Bakery.  What a treat!

After dessert, we did the White Elephant gift exchange.  You never know what you're going to end up with.

Dominic ended up with this festive martini shaker.

My prize was this Wine Wars trivia game.

And some other funny gifts, that for some reason, still remain at my house,  include..... Box-O-Wine.

And the ever popular Obama Chia Pet.

We let the kids stay up for the entire party.....to bed after 11 pm and with only one injury accounted for. Just as the last guest was out the door, Bryce bent back the toenail of his big toe under the bathroom door....Ouch!

What's your favorite White Elephant Gift??
