What Blogger down time told me about myself

Yesterday, at around noon as I was creating a few blog posts, my server, Blogger went down.  No warning, it just stopped.  I thought to myself, I'm glad I just put together the next couple of days worth of posts because there's no telling when Blogger would be back up again.

Well, fast forward, 24 hours later to today.  Finally at around 11 a.m., it came back up.

Within the 24 hour period of down time, I could not view my account or read and comment on any of the other Blogger blogs I frequent.

What this told me about myself is that I am most definitely obsessed with blogging.  I almost didn't know what to do with myself......but then I remembered......Twitter........pathetic isn't it?!

With all this free time I had this morning, I drove with Dominic to the Hidden Pond to see the progress on the work being done there.  Many truck loads full of clean dirt is being brought in to form a nice, level pad adjacent to the pond.

Around the World with Ren, Lady of the Arts

I invite you to check out Ren, Lady of the Arts blog site where she has been doing a weekly series on her blog titled, 'Around the World'.  Ren asks different bloggers to participate by submitting four photos that include: Inside, Outside, Creative Space and Wild Card and I am honored to be featured in her post today.
A great way to 'meet' other bloggers and take a peek into their lives.  Check it out if you get the chance!

It's a Foodbuzz Weekend

Gosh, I've been waiting for this weekend for many, many months.....the second annual Foodbuzz Blogger Festival in San Francisco!  Which equals *Foodie Heaven* in my book.  As a Foodbuzz Featured Publisher, selected for my Asian Noodle Salad, which was featured as one of the Top 9 Foodbuzz posts for a day last May, I have been invited to attend this much anticipated foodie fest.  So, stay tuned for my weekend recap soon to come.  But for now, here's a "peek" at some of the things I'll likely be experiencing.............

Some of the events include:
  • Welcome Reception & Street Food Fare
  • Food Blogging Guide to Success {whatever that is!}
  • Photography Workshop
  • Cooking Demos
  • Taste Pavilion
  • Gala Dinner
  • Networking with other foodies
A jam-packed weekend that I'll be sure to share with you all!  I'll be sure to need some elastic waist pants after this weekend.

Here's what happened at last year's Foodbuzz Festival, just to give you {and me} a little inside look....

Happy Friday!  Cheers!
