I am always looking for a yummy chocolate dessert....or any yummy dessert that can be whipped up quickly and without sacrificing any flavor. If you're looking for a chocolate sweet treat for Valentine's Day that will lead your Honey, Sweetie, Babycakes, Sugar.... etc. to believe you spent a whole lotta time on it, this is the one.
Chocolate Yogurt Mousse.
To die for.
Took me 15 minutes from start to finish.
Here's what you need.........{plus milk, not pictured....go figure...}
Melt 1/2 cup of chocolate chips in a 1/4 cup of milk on low. {full recipe below that is now 'printable'}
In a separated bowl, whisk remaining milk and pudding mix for approximately 2 minutes, until thickened.
Mix in 6 oz of Greek Honey Vanilla Yogurt.
Like this........
Looks like this when you're done.......
Pour in the melted chocolate chips and blend that creamy goodness in.
Make your own whipped cream. It is SO easy and SO much better tasting. Plus you can sweeten it the way you like it if you make it from scratch....I add 1 tablespoon of sugar to 8 oz of heavy whipping cream and beat it on high.
Grab a spatula.
And fold the whipped cream in to the chocolate mixture.
So it looks like this.
Spoon in to bowls, top with more whipped cream and sliced strawberries.....or any berries your heart desires.
Enjoy!
Chocolate Yogurt Mousse
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups milk {I used whole but you can definitely use skim milk if you prefer}
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 - 4oz box Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
1 - 6oz Greek Honey Vanilla Yogurt {full fat or nonfat}
Whipped Cream
Fresh berries
Directions:
In a saucepan, combine 1/4 cup of milk and the chocolate chips and cook over low heat, stirring until melted.
In a medium bowl, combine remaining milk and the pudding mix. Beat with a wire whisk, 1-2 minutes.
Stir in the yogurt.
Blend the melted chocolate in to the pudding mixture.
Whip your whipped cream and fold in to the chocolate mixture.
Spoon into individual bowls and top with more whipped cream and sliced berries.
um....yes, please! This looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteI made something almost like this last week. It was even easier because I put the chocolate in the blender and poured the hot milk on top to melt it and just turned on the blender to mix it. If I hadn't just made it last week I'd make it for dessert tomorrow. Instead I'm making zabaglione.
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious!
