Marin County Farm Day 2012 & Winning Calf Name

The two and a half week old calf we brought to Marin County Farm Day came home with a name.  After tallying all the votes, the winning name is FAITH.

We will register this calf with her new official name of Faith.  Thanks to all that participated in the voting at Farm Day, it was so much fun!

Marin County Farm Day seems to get bigger and better every year.  There seemed to be many more animals showcased this year and the weather also cooperated, staying dry, thankfully.

Paige and her 4H buddies manned the 4H table with the bunnies almost the entire time.  They loved sharing with all the kids that came by.

We also had cavies at our table as well...

And pygmy goats.......my niece, Morgan, lifting her pygmy goat, Georgie, up so the kids could get a few pets in.....

Lot's of interactive tables for kids to learn about planting, soil, bugs, etc....

The bug house building station..........

Angora bunny....thank you for all the sweaters, gloves, scarves and hats you provide us with.........

Outside we had the Egg Mobile teaching us all about egg laying and eggs......

My nephew, Gavin, manned the Mobile Dairy Classroom most of the morning with his cow, Bella, inside....

All in all, Farm Day was a success......

And after lunch at the Farmer's Market, I loaded up my niece and nephews along with my two kids, into the car and finished the day with some yummy ice cream shakes, cone and I had a fudge sundae.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to leave a comment. I love to hear from you! Have a fantastic day!
