Brittney the calf and the Ferorious Beast

The area in front of our house this time of year contains 15 or so calves....well, right now there are eight because the other seven jumped the fence into the heifer pasture, but that's a whole other story

It's fun to have Brittney near our house {she's on the right with the mostly white face}.  These girls have a pasture full of belly high green grass, but they still smash the fence down  to get to the grass on the other side.

Just like a girl to keep all options open at all times, right?! {or maybe just never satisfied}

Well, my little ferocious beast, Chloe will keep them in line.

This little fluff ball of a dog, loves to have a herd she can call her own so near the house to keep in line.

She has stepped up to the plate and taken on the responsibility that any good 'cow dog' would.

We're going to the Dairy Princess Ball tonight, what are you up to this weekend?

I love to hear from you! Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to leave a comment, you can click on the “Post a Comment” link below to do so. Have a peaceful day.

Love that! She is serious about her endeavor! We are planting a few more fruit trees this weekend. Big entertainment here on the farm!

Well, you know it's true what they say.....the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence!!
Thanks for stopping by earlier today. :)

Hanging around with the family....it's raining here. Gearing up for spring field work.

Oh, I love how Chloe is keeping the herd in line. Much better at it than my German Shepherd herding dogs :-) I envy you your cows and hope to have some in the future but I suppose I have enough problems chasing horses and donkeys who think like your cows that it's always better on the other side of the fence. Hope you had a wonderful time.

Our cows are not out yet but they are getting restless. This weekend it is warm (20 celsius) but cooler weather is forecast so they will be in for a little while yet.

Because we live in a tourist area we rarely go out at weekends = too much traffic on the roads. We have been gardening all weekend.

The beast is so cute. She sure knows how to keep that herd in check and they are really giving her the "eye".

She's a good herding dog, isn't she. I am going to rest this Sunday and just do some minor chores and play with my dogs.--Inger
