As I sit here on my couch this Saturday morning on 9/11, I contemplated sharing with you what Dominic and I did last night but instead, all I can think about are the victims of the 9/11 tragedy and their surviving family, friends and co-workers. I didn't know anyone personally, who lost their life or a loved one in this tragedy but I believe it's important to take myself back to that tragic day, nine years ago and relive the emotions I felt {and that I still feel today} as I watched it all unfold on TV. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the survivors, family members and friends of the victims and to the entire nation that has suffered with the tragedy of 9/11.
God Bless.

Nancy, Your sofa time resembles my train of thought as I woke up. Ended up grabbing the iPad and knocking out a blog post about where I was and what I was doing as the events unfolded on 9/11. The link is http://wp.me/pFMs3-ED if you are interested. Emily added some of her thoughts as well.
Thank you for sharing that heartbreaking and moving video. It's still hard to wrap my head around the horrors that occurred on that day.
OMG...
How can you not cry after that?
Thanks for sharing Nancy.
Hi Nancy, I came from Good Day, Regular People to visit. Your comment about the cow magnets fascinated me. Do you get them back the way I am thinking you get them back? And the metal makes it all the way out, too? Without hurting the cows? Also, on your profile it says that no milk contains antibiotics-so all milk-organic and otherwise-is the same? Is buying local milk better than buying one of the national brands? Just wondering. Read your post for Friday, too. The cookies look yummy. The spider-I can't even look at them. And I think you are very brave to hold the stick bug-I wouldn't have done it. I'm chicken:-)
@Chicken's Consigliere, Thank you so much for visiting!
The cow magnets stay in one of the cow's four stomachs and don't come out. That way if a cow picks up a piece of metal while grazing out on the ranch, it will stay with the magnet and not become lodged somewhere and kill the cow, it all just stays in that one stomach without hurting the cow. You can read all about it in my post here:

I think it's always best to buy local when you can. Some of the major brands are local milk. I don't know where you live but here in northern CA, the milk you buy at the grocery stores are pretty much all from local dairies....our milk is sold under the Sunnyside, Berkeley Farms and Borden labels. Lucerene, sold at Safeway is also from local dairies.
Here is a post that I wrote on how to tell where your milk is coming from {processed} :

and you may have already read this but here's my post on Organic vs. Conventional milk:

Let me know if you have any other questions! And again, thanks for visiting and asking questions:)
