They grow nearby but I think they originated in Denmark. I'm not sure where else in the U.S. they are grown..Nancy Grossi ~ Churned In Cali ~ The Wife of a Dairymanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14800230886117255959noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-804707549091159852.post-19074871747979441302011-10-28T05:25:06.728-07:002011-10-28T05:25:06.728-07:00Hello long time no see :) I love this recipe it is...Hello long time no see :) I love this recipe it is just the right size. I'd never eat an entire pie (ok maybe I would but I don't need to) so this is perfect!Suz and Allanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15703593542540533784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-804707549091159852.post-34000867376771100402011-10-27T16:45:57.465-07:002011-10-27T16:45:57.465-07:00Yum! Growing up I would always bake and take everything I made to our neighbors.

For my sister's shower I made apple pies in a half pint wide mouth mason jar - they we so cute! You can see them here. That would be a fun project for the 4-H kids too!

Now, I need to find some mini pans from the dollar store! Thanks for the idea!Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06484038005552681084noreply@blogger.com
